Office Of Pertubuhan As Centre Of Activity For SS 19/1

Dear members of SS 19/1 Community,

In my last email I explained that the Pertubuhan has rented a premise for an office which is located at 30 B Jalan SS 19/1G. It is on top of Penny Hair Dressing Saloon. The AJK in its meeting on 10th March has decided that this office to be the centre of activity for our community. We intend to engage members on specific issues that can make SS 19/1 a better place to stay. We also have plans to organise evening talks on various topics that may interest our community. We also encourage members to organise themselves for common activities and use our available facilities. Members are also encouraged to provide suggestions/feedback on how to improve our community.I will keep all of you posted on our proposed activities. If you have any suggestions/feedback do not hesitate to contact me via email or my mobile 0192885409.

Dear En Mohd Noh

Many thanks for the collective efforts to better SS19. Having an office for the SS19/1 residents association is certainly a step in the right direction. Well done.

Aside, I am a resident in SS19 and I love taking morning and evening walks and bicycling.

There are points of which if I may suggest
1. Recycling centre. For our small community. Perhaps we may not need a centre the size similar to SS17. Perhaps a 20 footer cabin/container may do. Placed in a wide and frequented area, perhaps this could be sponsored by credible organisation e.g. Carrefour, or whomever willing to sponsor , sanctioned by MPSJ
2. Extra litter stand bins around the SS17 sekolah rendah kebangsaan , which through the school children and other hawkers/food peddlars , have created favourite "champak" areas.
3. A word of note , that all around the ss19 security routes and area, there are spots of littered " shahib" liquor bottles. I am sure many local do not suscribe to these beverages. Kindly look into this please.

Many Thanks

Mr Lee

Dear En Mohd Noh

Just putting forth some friendly suggestions for consideration.

1. Would it be possible to do a circular ( leaflet first and the switching to e-platform via our blogspots )to advise/remind the residents that we have ssnineteenone blogspot to exchange ideas or post notices

2. In the same line of thought. We can create a section of the blog where ss19 residents can post up a site for sell/buy akin to e-bay. SS19/1 RA may as administrators or provide meeting sites , such as in the office to be rendezous centre. Likewise, the SS19 RA may in this instance charge a token 1% of the value of transaction as "handling fee " for the successful transaction , so listed on the site.

3. Since we have yearly car stickers ( though we are just into Year 2010 ). We can certainly plan for next year 2011,
a. to organise a SS19/1 residents car sticker logo competition.
b. Invite sponsors to give prizes for the winners.

3. As Malaysians, we all love food. Perhaps food bazaars at opportune times as school holiays.

4. Illegal buntings. They remain a sight for sore eye. Enpower the security guards on patrol, to remove, apprehend people putting up illegal buntings/banners/signboards.

5. Periodic gotong royong with the MPSJ in liason.

Aside, how goes the suggestion of recycling centres as was suggested to your goodself via my post dated 15th March 2010?

TQVM.

Mr Lee
