Dumping Day For SS 19/1 Subang Jaya

On 21st August, with the co-operation of Alam Flora, the Pertubuhan Penduduk Jalan SS 19/1 organised the first Dumping Day event for the benefit of our member residents. This was organised as part of Alam Flora's Kawasan Angkat program with SS 19/1 to help us "make  SS 19/1 a better place to stay"

The response was much better than anticipated. About 25 members left their unwanted items outside their houses for collection. These items included tables, chairs, sofa sets, mattresses, carpets, travelling bags,TV sets, refrigerators, etc. The collection started at about 8.30 am and ended at 1.00 pm. In view of the good response we will organise the similar event prior to all the festive seasons.

Dear Sir

I enjoy brisk walks in the early morning in our SS19, and even so with a measured sense of safety with our security guards in place.

However, in my morning walks, I often come across illegal buntings such as...PINJAMAN WANG....UBAH SUAI RUMAH....TUISYEN RUMAH....HOME FOOD DELIVERY.....SEWA LORRY....BANK LELONg and so on.

So as I can, during my walks, I remove these illegal buntings but after a while, they sprout again.

I have often taken these illegal buntings out and approach the guards and advise them to remove or stop persons putting up this illegal buntings. Sadly, the guards either, fail to understand me or indifferent.

To this, may I suggest that the Resident Committee to have a briefing to clarify and give clear and distint mandate to the guards patrolling the area to remove such illegal buntings.

Our Sbg Jaya YB Hannah Yeoh and MPSJ has been continuing to combat this malaise in other more rampant areas like in SS15, USJ, Seri Kembangan, Puchong and elsewhere. They can only do so much.

Thus, it is our very own duty to ensure that this malaise is stymied especially in our own backyard.

I look forward to your action and directive to the security guards cooperation to remove/prohibit and ensure our SS19/1 area is best free of these illegal buntings.

Thank you for your kind attention.
